What a wekend! 'We Have Ways Festival' 2025!

Well the 'move order' worked and I got their, my third line kit and the baggage truck arrived as expected after the show. No change there!

It was such an amazing show and everyone was very friendly and the stands were amazing!
The re-enactors were full of information, super keen and very knowledgeable.
The vehicles and tanks were great and the artillery demo's and live firing were unmissable.
It was wonderful to meet so many people that I have only spoken to online before, and Al Murray and James Holland were amazing hosts and gave time to everyone.

Thanks to the Re-enactors from B Coy 2nd East Yorks I was lucky enough to try out the PIAT in both Anti tank and Mortar roles, research for Command Men my TV Series Script.
The PIAT was a beast and would have taken strength, a lot of practice, skill and teamwork to bring to action successfully, no wonder so many men were lost using it.
Its always been one of my favourite vehicles, the Buffalo LVT, that carried Royal Marines into Walcheren, across the Rhine and into Suez.
It was amazing to get to crawl all over this beast, I never really appreciated its size before.
![The Buffalo LVT - A personal ambition to ride in one, maybe one day! I hope next year to man a Royal Marines stand and speak if I can on Royal Marines in WW2.
