Royal Marines Roll of Honour & War Graves Data Base

The War Graves Data base is a live document with 11,442 names and growing, in many cases I have been able to update dates of death and adjust places and units where they were ambiguous or missing.

I hope will allow easy research for families or researchers to find Royal Marines casualties in one place, and I have recieved

I hope that I can add a theater specific search on this sites Royal Marines Roll of Honour data base, a task which will never be fully completed, but with every new detail I add we build the story of someone who died serving his country.

Why not search your family name and remember someone, even if they are not a relative; Royal Marines Roll of Honor and Graves database

In the future I hope to build in more information including individuals pictures and links to actions, or 'dits' obviously with so many in the list this will be only a selection of those listed and will take some time to grow.

It started 5 years ago with the names of casualties from the Two World Wars but it now includes names from 1796, including Cooks expeditions all the way through Malaya, Borneo, Korea, Northern Ireland to present day.

I also hope to add a facility in the future to allow families, relatives or colleagues to add stories too.

Its a big job, and too big for one small man for sure!

I would love to hear form anyone who would like to get involved, reseraching and adding information with me, its a project that will never be fully complete, but it should be attempted!
