1000'th Royal Marine killed in WW1

Unit/ Formation: Royal Marines Light Infantry

Location: United Kingdom

Period/ Conflict: World War I

Year: 1915

Date/s: 14th April 1915

According to my records and to the best of my knowledge Corporal James Dawe was the 1000'th Royal Marine to be recorded as killed in WW1, there would be at least 5,714 more.

If you have any information on Cpl Dawe, a picture perhaps, or any of the other Royal Marines listed or missing from any conflict since 1664 please let me know.

Check their names here: Royal Marines Roll of Honour and War Graves Data Base
